Introduction to WHWB-UK
WHWB-UK is the UK branch of WHWB
International. WHWB international (Workplace Health Without
Borders) as a not-for-profit organisation, to help address
occupational health and hygiene issues in the developing world.
Founded in April 2016 the WHWB UK branch have been working to
develop a platform from which to launch projects aiming to improve
the occupational health provision where it is needed most.
WHWB has the goal
of engaging volunteers in
improving workplace health in those regions of the
world with under-served worker populations. Our focus is to
provide:
- workers and employers with technical assistance,
- training and skills development to help them develop capacity
and infrastructure to manage and improve the health conditions in
their workplaces.
- We also hope to help NGOs in developing countries to integrate
occupational health into their projects.
WHWB-UK works on projects and
provides expertise to assist WHWB International and develop
projects to further the aims of WHWB internationally.
Vision:
WHWB-UK believes in a world
in which workers, their families and local community don't get sick
because of their work.

Mission:
To engage the occupational
health profession in ensuring that workers and employers throughout
the world have the knowledge and means to prevent work-related
disease (and injury).
Core Values
WHWB-UK recognises occupational health and safety as a basic
human right, and that workers have a right to go home from work
each day at least as healthy as when they arrived.
