AIMS Past Round Samples & Additional/Replacement Rounds

HSL 035 (Past Round Samples)

A set of four samples from previous AIMS rounds can be purchased. They are despatched with full details of their content for use as quality control samples.

HSL 038A (Additional Round)

New laboratories may purchase up to two sets to gain a cumulative score (must be participating in the next available AIMS round).

Results are entered on the online data entry system.

Samples will be despatched within two working days from receipt of order. Reports will be available as per the schedule and not until full payment has been received.

HSL 038R (Replacement Round)

Existing AIMS participants may purchase one set to replace a poor scoring or missed round of AIMS (can only replace the latest AIMS round). The score will count towards the cumulative score.  (Only one round of either HSL 038A or HSL 038R can be purchased in every three rounds of AIMS).

Results are entered on the online data entry system.

Samples will be despatched within two working days from receipt of order. Reports will be available as per the schedule and not until full payment has been received.

HSL 038QC (Blind Round)

Non-AIMS participants can order a set of HSL 038QC. A set of samples are sent along with a paper report form.  The samples are analysed and the report form completed and returned to HSL by email or post.  A paper report is issued by HSE Testing and monitoring, showing an indicative score.

This option could also be used for participants of the AIMS scheme who may need to purchase HSL 038 but not for any of the reasons above (A or R)

Payment must be made prior to samples being despatched.  Reports are available within five working days from receipt of results.
