Introduction

This 3-hour training event will focus on the environmental fate and behaviour section of pesticide product submissions. The event will provide attendees with an overview of how HSE's environmental fate specialists consider pesticide product evaluations to meet regulatory requirements in GB and NI.  The event will explain how HSE fate specialists use the information provided by applicants to reach a regulatory decision, highlighting what information is essential and will address areas of product evaluations which can often cause problems.  The event will be delivered via a selection of presentations on a variety of topics followed by an open question and answer session.  By the end of the event, participants will have a better appreciation of this specialist area, what to include in a submission and be better able to prepare regulatory submissions for Plant Protection Products.

The training will be delivered by HSE regulatory specialists and will help attendees improve the quality of their submissions, understand how these will be reviewed by the GB regulator and obtain insight into latest approaches.
