Colin Chambers

Senior Engineer

Colin is a risk assessment specialist with a background in electrical, control and instrumentation. He develops novel risk assessment methods, assesses technical aspects of COMAH safety report, assesses technical aspects of explosives initiation systems.

Colin is a LOPA specialist, in particular with regard to SIL determination. Colin provides training in LOPA and other risk assessment techniques.

Previous Projects

• Development of risk assessment methodology to assess and communicate the risks associated with Covid-19 scenarios
• Identified gaps in existing standards and legal frameworks associated with new and emerging technologies, in response to a parliamentary question
• Delivered training and advice to the newly formed Singapore Governments Major Hazards department
• Performed technical assessments of explosives initiation systems in South Africa, Canada, USA and Germany
