Training at HSL

The HSL training unit

CWH is involved in academic and training programmes, both at diploma and undergraduate level including medical students at the University of Sheffield. CWH supports MD and PhD research students, providing a number of clinical research fellowships as training posts for potential clinical academics and acting as supervisor and conducting Vivas.

As the Chief Medical Officer of HSL and co-director for the Centre, Professor David Fishwick also acts as an ambassador for the work of CWH and HSL globally. In March 2009 Professor Fishwick and Mary Trainor (HSL Head of Science) visited a number of key research institutions across Europe, Canada and North America as part of a knowledge sharing exercise and to represent HSL as a world-class health & safety research establishment.

Staff from CWH regularly contribute to a number of training courses offered by HSL.  HSL can offer both standard and bespoke health and safety courses to fit your particular training requirements.
